Community Development for All People (CD4AP) is a faith-based non-profit community development organization located in Columbus. CD4AP works to improve the quality of life for all residents of the South Side through individual and community services.

Job Description

The role of the Fresh Market Associate is to support the daily operation of the All People’s Fresh Market. These tasks include:

●       Effectively learn and use the online PantryTrak system.

●       Provide excellent customer service–greeting, assigning key cards, checking out, bagging, etc. 

●       Receive and place food donations in the market – safe food practice (Mid-Ohio, Kroger etc.).

●       Understand and follow proper health and safety protocol as it relates to food storage.

●       Orient and support volunteers including individuals from Vantage and other organizations.  

●       Restock shelves, clean market floors and surfaces between visits from shoppers and at the end of each day.

●       Follow the policies and procedures as stated in the Market manual that encourage inspiration, fairness, and safety of market members, volunteers and staff.

●       Help maintain the beauty and functionality of the market and surrounding grounds.  (Clean up lot, empty trash etc.)

●       Uphold the core values of Community Development for All People by maintaining a positive environment in which all employees, volunteers and shoppers are treated with dignity, acceptance and respect and always providing radical hospitality.

Qualifications:

⮚      Proficiency in the use of computers and the internet.

⮚      Effective conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult or challenging situations.

⮚      Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule.

⮚      Experience working in a diverse setting.

⮚      Good communication skills and ability to build rapport with others.

⮚      Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.

⮚      Must be able to stand for long periods of time.   

The Fresh Market Associate will work 25 scheduled hours per week: Tuesday – Friday 12 – 5pm, Saturday 8am – 1pm.
